places: ely, cambridgeshire
photos from a weekend with my good friend charlie - i'm guilty of always parking him for ages because we always pick up like from where we left like it was yesterday. unfortunately he misses out spending probably 20 days a month away on business, ely is beautiful and isn't lacking much: a buzzing market full of flea-market finds (more on the chair we bought later), vintage cashmere, fishmongers selling rabbits and pheasants, cheeses, pies and more cheeses, the canal with locks and riverside pubs, the cathedral and surrounds and importantly for emmy - a tip-top playground.
