chapter 1: cooks - mistresses and imaginations

These are some old cook books I've accumulated. Some are a bit old and some are very very old. One even inspired a film I'm glad I've never seen. Luckily cookbooks seem to still be beautiful - Rose Prince, Stephan Reynaud not to mention lots of others but they're on amazon. These, however, are not:


I love this book because it's more a collection of instructions for one's cook rather than practical advice. It is though for small households - how very aspirational.
